Welcome Mojdeh to the role of AT Planner. We are looking forward to all seeing all of your amazing work moving forward!
“Hello everyone!
My name is Mojdeh Sharafi, and I’m thrilled to join the incredible team at CNS as an Active Transportation Planner/Designer.
I grew up in Tehran, Iran, where biking and swimming were the first sports I learned and a big part of my summers and after-school life. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed exploring many other sports as well, including basketball, badminton, tennis, kung fu, and canoe polo.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Tehran and later moved to Montreal to pursue a master’s degree in Transportation Engineering at McGill University. It was there that I truly fell in love with the field of active transportation. For me, active transportation sits at the intersection of my passion for sports and my background in engineering, and through a project for the City of Montreal assessing the level of traffic stress (LTS) of the road and cycling network, I came to appreciate just how impactful it is in people’s everyday lives.
I’m excited to explore the east coast in Halifax soon, and as an Active Transportation Planner, I look forward to doing my best to help improve active transportation in communities across beautiful Nova Scotia.”
