Battling the winter elements can be intimidating for a lot of cyclists. By following these few simple tips, you can go out and have just as much fun in the chilly weather as you would in the summer heat! Bundle up: You can always take gear off when I you get too hot, but it’s a lot harder to stay warm if you don’t have everything you need with you. Your extremities will get cold fast if you are not wearing adequate gear for the weather so be sure to have proper gloves and footwear to limit chilly hands and feet and to avoid frostbite in extreme conditions. Updated By-Law Changes

In order to ensure that our bylaws are aligned with a board structure and organizational functioning that meets our recent and expected continued growth we are proposing several changes this year. We are ensuring that all meetings and resolutions can be done digitally, which is just a further clean up from changes adopted in 2017. We are also proposing to re-instate the President position so that there is clear responsibility for governance decisions. We propose board term limits for the Board Executive so that there is an obligation to ensure that the board leadership is limited. Meet Cycling Nova Scotia’s Active Transportation Coordinator: Holly Foxall!

Holly joined Cycling Nova Scotia as Active Transportation Coordinator in January 2024, and will be working on active transportation research, gathering data on AT readiness, planning the annual Bike Summit, and engaging communities in cycling throughout the province. You’ll also see Holly playing a role in supporting Cycling Nova Scotia’s advocacy work at a community level throughout the province. The Farm at Top Sail Lake

Exciting News! Cycling NS is ready to announce new trails to ride!  Located on Golf View Drive in Dartmouth, NS, The Farm is 6km (and growing) of great single track trail. To ride the trails, you need to be a Cycling NS member (or purchase a day pass) and you have to bring the stoke.
